
SOS Lubnān – RSC Chairman Emiliano Stornelli was received by the Mayor of Tripoli, Dr. Abdelhamid Karimeh, at the Palace of the Municipality, to discuss the organization of the “Medical Day”, scheduled for November 15 at the Al Moutrane School.
The initiative is promoted by UNIFIL, MIBIL, and RSC, under the high patronage of the Maronite Catholic Archeparchy of Tripoli, Dar al-Fatwa for Tripoli and North Lebanon, and the Municipality of Tripoli.
Hundreds of beneficiaries from all Tripoli’s communities will receive free medical consultations, laboratory tests, and essential medicines. Clothing and other basic aid will also be provided.
RSC Chairman Stornelli expressed his gratitude to Mayor Dr. Karimeh for endorsing the initiative, which reaffirms Tripoli’s vocation as a city of coexistence, peace, and solidarity. He also highlighted the crucial engagement of UNIFIL and MIBIL in facilitating the organization of the event, under the coordination of Col. Attilio Cortone, Italian Army.
During the visit, RSC Chairman Stornelli was accompanied by Monsignor Joseph Ghabash, representing H.E. Youssef Soueif, Maronite Archbishop of Tripoli, and RSC Advisor, Dr. Dolly Farah, former Head of the Human Rights Department at the Tripoli Bar Association.
The “Medical Day” is promoted also in close collaboration with Annas Linnas Association, Dialogue for Life and Reconciliation (DLR), DLR Sustainable Network of Religious Leaders in Tripoli and North Lebanon, the ngo TrueBless.
