On July 19, RSC Senior Fellow Kannanathan Rajganna guided and facilitated an interactive dialogue on the topic of “The Diaspora Journey − Our Collective Memory” with a selected group of young leaders participating in the “Healing the Wounds of the Past” conference held in Caux, Switzerland, from July 17to 22. The discussions revolved around the psychological trauma and mistrust caused by the 30 years of war in Sri Lanka, and the current deteriorating inter-ethnic relations and harmony in the country. The youth represented various professional and academic backgrounds through the Tamil and other diaspora identities. During the proceedings, they also delved into the concept of coexistence and social cohesion within Switzerland, while confronting unresolved issues from the past, be it personal, national, or international conflicts.
