RSC Religion & Security Council is gathering support for Lebanon-based NGOs currently engaged in humanitarian and reconstruction work in Beirut after the unimaginable disaster occurred on August 4, 2020. The consequences of the port explosions are well-known to all worldwide, and donations from the international community are required to sustain the extraordinary efforts of local actors. Among them, RSC is keen to provide its backing to the fundraising campaigns of the following organizations:
Dialogue for Life & Reconciliation – “Operation Hope” (for families and citizens in distress);
Red in Circle Association (for aid in food and livelihood);
Cedars Medical Association (for health and medications);
Center for Development Democracy and Governance (for repair of affected houses and buildings).

Dialogue for Life and Reconciliation (DLR) launched “Operation Hope” soon after Beirut’s disaster, providing both moral and material aid to families and citizens in distress. The funding that DLR has been able to raise thus far has been transmitted directly to the most disadvantaged people for their basic needs. Moreover, DLR young volunteers are ensuring humanitarian assistance and accompaniment to the many broken families and citizens, as well as concrete help for the renovation and reconstruction works in damaged buildings and houses.

The doctors and nurses of the Cedar Medical Association (CMA) are helping the numerous wounded caused by Beirut’s explosions, bringing assistance to as much people as possible, since the capacity of hospitals is set to the minimum. Essential high medical consumables and medications are needed for treatments due to limited stock and resources.
