Religion & Security Council

The Religion & Security Council (RSC) promotes the role of the religious factor in peace-building, crisis management, and conflicts resolution in areas that witness warfare, unrest, and humanitarian emergencies, with particular focus on the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. In this context, RSC is actively engaged in supporting interreligious dialogue initiatives, involving religious leaders, officials, scholars, practitioners, and civil society organizations. Moreover, RSC advocates for the development of sound and balanced approaches to religious scriptures and doctrines, and for addressing the root causes that constitute a breeding ground for indoctrination and recruitment by extremist groups, especially among the youth. RSC also takes care of the present situation and the future of religious minorities, against any form of sectarianism and discrimination.
